Where to go in Grenada

Bank: Republic Bank (Grenada) Limited

Account to ask for: e-Free

CurrencyXCD
Minimum to openEC$1

What to bring

What Republic Bank asks for when you open a e-Free in Grenada:

  • One valid photo ID: a passport, national ID card, or driver's permit (must not be expired)
  • Proof of address: a utility bill, or the bank's confirmation-of-address form if the bill isn't in your name
  • Proof of income: a job letter and a copy of your contract if employed; up-to-date financial statements or tax returns if self-employed

If you are not resident yet

Opening before you have moved, or while your status is still being sorted out? Republic Bank asks for these on top of the documents above:

  • A utility bill covering the last three months, or your lease agreement
  • Proof of income: job letter and payslip, or financials if you run a business
  • A banker's reference letter from your current bank
  • Your work permit, CARICOM Skills Certificate or student documentation, where these apply

Good to know

  • No monthly maintenance fee, and no interest paid on the balance. An activity fee of EC$11.50 a month applies only if you use branch teller services.
  • Non-resident applicants need extra documents that the bank does not publish online. Call the branch on 1-473-444-2265 before you apply.
This is guidance, and banks change their fees and document lists. Confirm the current requirements with Republic Bank (Grenada) Limited before you travel to a branch.
